I received a call from Carrie at V & V Land Management the very next day after I sent in a contact request via their web site. Carrie was very professional and let me ramble on about my situation. I explained about the tall pine trees on my property that needed to be removed. The trees were very close to my house, one actually snapped during a storm coming within feet of hitting my home. Carrie did not hesitate to assure me V & V Land Management could assist.

V & V Land Management was quick to act. Frank went to the site within a few days to make a clear assessment. He phoned me immediately from the property because I could not be there at the time. I was thrilled to get such a quick response! I was not used to the sense of urgency V & V Land Management had shown. Unfortunately, I have had some bad experiences with other contractors and service companies, so I did not expect much. It was truly refreshing to see the pride they take in their business.

Frank provided a written quote and we set a date for the tree removal. I could not believe that Frank and his crew showed up at the time I was given. They quickly got to work. It takes a lot to impress my husband, but from the beginning he could tell they were very skilled and knowledgeable in their craft. They actually take pride in their work. Not one problem arose that day. Even the 60 foot tall trees leaning toward the house did not pose a problem. Oh, and most impressive is they actually removed more trees than expected, yet stuck to their quote.

My wife Arnette greatly appreciated the care he took in sparing some small dogwoods, red buds, and cherry trees which will do very well in their new non-competitive environment.
We felt your charges were very reasonable for the area mulched, and expect to utilize your services in the future. I did take some video and intend to show it to our neighbors as well.

Andy from V & V came out and completely mulched our overgrown backyard at our new house - this includes ivy, overgrown bushes and trees. He Frank explained the environmental benefits of the process and were accessible throughout. The whole job was done in half a day (about 1/2 an acre) at cheaper price than it would have taken a crew to cut everything and remove it. We have a new backyard and are no longer worried about doing battle with our old,overgrown one. Check out the intro video on their website. We were excited to build on our new hilltop, but more than a little sickened at the thought of letting loose the dozers, leaving a big naked scar and creating a runoff nightmare. It was amazing how quickly V&V opened up our building site and viewscape with their mulching equipment. They left select hardwoods standing that’ll spring up quick without having to compete with all the weed trees and invasives that were taken down. The mulch is thick, springy, and smells wonderful. We like walking on it and thinking of how its feeding the soil and getting it ready for the fruit trees and vegetable gardens we’ll plant in a few years. We feel very lucky to have learned about mulching as an alternative to traditional clearing methods. After Mulching for Vinyard Expansion

We used V & V Land Management and Resource Recovery to clear 6 acres of dense cedar trees and correct a severe erosion issue on a hillside next to the main road to our home. We wanted to avoid traditional bulldozing and burning of our trees since we are using the land to expand our vineyard. We were so happy with the work that was done that we called them back to clear out some of the woods behind our house. The mulching looks beautiful and we have not had the erosion issues we would have had with bulldozing. I would highly recommend them, they are very reliable and do excellent work! I was amazed at how quickly the process went. It was not only fascinating to watch but it prevented damage to the land. I didn't like the idea of having to cut down trees, but knew these trees had to come down to give us more sunlight and because they where beginning to die and would fall towards our neighbors house, but with Frank's methods and techniques it felt really responsible to the environment, safe and really made the most of the land. I love the way the trees are instantly mulched so they can be given right back to the earth and enrich the soil. No irresponsible burning of trees, no red mud, no run off, no depleted soil. Because of this, my hillside was growing grass in three months without fertilizer, or any other treatment! Frank has an amazing knowledge of land, nature, plants and trees and was very helpful in his consultations. He was a resource that helped us achieve our goals, while protecting the land. At first glance, the previous, more invasive process that people have used in the past might seem cheaper, but by the time you add up the cost of cutting down of the trees, setting the usable logs aside, mulching the brush and small trees or having it burned or hauled away since permits are expensive and harder to get these days, as well as the cost of silt fences and installation labor; not to mention having to treat the red mud and stripped soil, you will always come out cheaper with Frank's work. Dear Frank, Thank you! For years I've tried to clear our wooded hill-side property by hand - a long and arduous undertaking. Over time, despite my best efforts, underbrush and thickets were taking over. Once beautiful old trees were being choked out by evermore invasive vines. The task seemed overwhelming. We consulted lumber companies, but they wanted to take all of the mature trees in addition to clearing the land. Stumps and branches would remain piled up for us to remove on our own. I'd seen sites cleared by traditional methods and was always disappointed by the scalped appearance it left.
