Hogback Farm Workshop Series
Del Rio TN
April 23-24

This workshop is a hands-on, deep introduction to the Art of Bow Hunting, and related topics.  Instructors Frank Vogler and John Averette (with guest speakers) will share their three decades plus of bow hunting experience, while passionately attending to relevant ethical, biological and spiritual issues surrounding this ancient practice.  You will learn how to prepare, scout and set various stand types from brush and ground blinds to climbing and lock-on stands. There will be in-depth discussions on how to “read the wind’, stalk, track and understand deer behavior.  Other topics will include: Safety and Equipment, Shot Placement, Field Dressing, Skinning and Butchering, Mental and Physical Fitness, Closing the Loop on Food Procurement, etc.  We will take hikes both days, including a night excursion on Saturday, so bring good footwear.

Registration limited to 14 people

*Plan to bring bows and arrows if you have them.  If you do not own equipment, no problem.  Archery will only be one aspect of this intro workshop.
